Kelly Carapezza, PhD, LPC, NCC

Kelly is currently an LPC and board approved supervisor in the state of Virginia. Kelly also works part-time as an online adjunct instructor in the master's counseling program at Liberty University. Past counseling experience includes offering community-based therapeutic services for at-risk children and youth in the Lynchburg area. Other professional experience includes working with adults in a partial hospitalization program for eating disorders, providing EMDR therapy for trauma disorders, and supervising practicum and internship students.


Kelly hopes to provide practical and research-based care for those who are interested in partnering with her in the therapeutic process. Clinically, Kelly works with teens, college students, and young adults addressing a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship conflict, and more. Kelly utilizes interventions from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model. With couples and families, Kelly practices from the scope of an attachment lens using Love & Logic Parenting and Emotionally focused Therapy (EFT) interventions. Kelly also uses art interventions as a tool to promote client healing. 

In her spare time, Kelly enjoys figure skating, oil painting, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
