Hi, I’m LeeAnna. I graduated from Liberty University with a Masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling in 2017 and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Before moving into private practice in 2022, my experience was primarily working with college students, both at a faith-based university and also at a college comprised of a male student body. I enjoy working with young adults as they navigate mental health challenges and develop their identities. I also have experience counseling in an addiction recovery facility, helping individuals define substance use and abuse, gain insight into what motivates substance use, and develop tools to meet substance related goals. In addition to counseling young adult males and those with substance concerns, I’m also comfortable working with all adult ages on stress management, life transitions, self-image, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship dynamics, family dynamics, and decision making.

I enjoy helping clients cultivate deeper insight in honor of creating helpful movement toward healing, joy, and purpose. I use a client-centered approach, understanding that each individual in front of me is unique. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which focuses on value-driven choices, mindful awareness, and gently leaning into unhelpful thoughts and emotions that can keep us feeling stuck. I am also trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) emotion regulation strategies and EMDR, which is a therapeutic intervention that helps process through trauma and unhelpful self-messages.

In my free time, I enjoy soaking in sunshine and finding mountain views to admire. I appreciate the simple pleasures of coffee, ice cream, and slow mornings as they’re possible. I’m one of those people who actually enjoys running, and I consider a good hike good for my soul. I also very much value taking time to visit family and spending quality time with my husband.
